The funny thing is that I hadn't even realized that this building had been renamed! I still think of it as The Time Warner Center! At any rate, it's still great. I didn't notice any other changes besides the name. It's a fun and cheerful mall and looks very festive at this time of year. You should go!!
The Deutsche Bank Center, formerly known as the Time Warner Center, is one of best works by the late David Childs (1941-2025) of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, who also designed One World Trade Center. Following the curve of Columbus Circle, the building is very mindful of its built environment. It's twin towers complete the vista along Central Park South. Their mass is effectively dissolved by reflecting the sky.
This place has truly become a foodie destination, especially with the opening of Bad Roman. Over the years, I’ve eaten at Bad Roman and Noodle Bar, shopped at Sunglasses Hut, and picked up plenty of Lululemon outfits. It used to house other great stores like Coach and Ted Baker, and I still miss having Sephora on the second floor—it made buying and returning makeup so much more convenient (even though it’s now located just a couple of blocks away).
